Par*a*dice Email campaign, IL sucks!

I know there are a lot of central illinois players on here that I have talked to and many I have yet to meet. We are in a pretty crappy situation when it comes to live play.

Kinda sucks that even with legalized gambling in this state, I have to drive over 2 hours to go to a casino. I have no idea why Argosy's, Alton Belle, and Par*a*dice dont have a poker room. This is retarded. There are still poker players located in the 300+ mile radius between Chicago and St Louis. I've Emailed Par*a*dice's director of Marketing about this, and have had no response. I'd bet that if a lot of people started filling his inbox that he'd have to at least make a statement about it. I know, probably a waste of time, but there isnt much else we can do since our lovely govenor screwed our gaming commision here in IL.

Also, anyone here up for splitting gas for an Ameristar trip sometime soon from Springfield? Kinda stupid to fork over 40$ in gas to play poker for a few hours. a lot of the time I spend more time driving than I do playing.....
Anyone interested in doing this on a regular basis? Anyone think that paying for drinks when gambling is insulting?

I hate this state.

I'm just graduating college and moving out of Decatur, and yes, it sucks.

"since our lovely govenor screwed our gaming commision here in IL."

If in this statement, you are referring to the law that sets a maximum number of employees a casino may have per shift, then you already know the answer. BTW, even if you got a pokerroom, it would be terrible. Please see Hollywood and Empress. They are really more poker "closets" than "rooms."

No you dont....I know.....but they could do it. Its just that they wont. I mean seriously...any place that has cards in this area would be huge. There's such an untapped market....It would be more than just old rocks. We'd get the farm kids who seen that pokah on the TV.

There are plenty of live games and underground casinos in Springfield and Champaign...

Yea, but those aren't exactly easy to find. Especially when you don't live in the immediate area.

That's right. Just like the rest of the currently operated rooms in Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin. Those goofy "limit" laws in Missouri are a pain.
