Colbert is more apt than Carrell by a wide margin

even if his show is superior, colbert is still on CABLE, whereas carell is on a prime time network show and a comedic lead in major motion pictures.

Well, Colbert uses basically the same format as Stewart (whereas Carell does not), so he's a better example of the concept imo.
