10k bankroll

hi everyone, i made a similar post yesterday but in the wrong forum. im also new to 2+2. im planning on depositing 10k to bankroll myself.i do not have pokertracker of hud. was wondering the difficulty in setting this up. im not very computer litterate. also im looking for a u.s freindly site. full tilt is not an option. i wanted 2 find one with rkeback. multi tables is not a big deal to me a site with 2 tables is fine. i was looking into cake poker and was wanting to get opinions from cake regulars. also do u guys think 10k is enough playing 1 table full ring 2/4? sorry for the long post but this is a massive big move for me. the 10k is pretty important . thanks again for your time and good luck at the tables.

pokerstars is the best software and support. However, you can't get rakeback there (although their VIP program is very similar).

not sure about other US sites like cake, maybe others can speak about those. FT and Pokerstars definitely get the most traffic though.

oh, and for 1- or 2-tabling 2/4, $10k should be plenty assuming you are a winning player.

definitely play 2/4. but you should try to play more tables.

id definitely go with stars too best support/software by far.

Re: 10k bankroll

ive heard the competition is tougher on stars. and they do not have rakeback.and also i would almost have 2 get pokertracker if i went with stars. but i have pretty much narrowed it down 2 cake poker and stars. was still trying 2 get info from regulars who play cake poker a lot .tks

Start at 2/4, and give me your SN.

Ok just kidding.

If you deposit 10k, by all means only play 1/2. Not only are you probably not polished enough to win at 2/4, but 10k is on the lower end of a good bankroll for that level. I wouldn't play 2/4 with less than 15k myself, but most would do it at 12 or so. Regardless I am making the assumption more based on skill level starting off than actual bankroll.

Re: 10k bankroll

what up bud? ill give u a breif summary of my playing history. 1st of all bank roll mngmt has been my biggest downfall, i have promised myself that i will never ever ever play beyond my roll again. as far as my playing history goes i have built up 10k ,7k and 9k rolls playing 2/4 5/10 from small amounts. only 2 go on tilt , playing super tired after working all week and playing poker. on 3 differant occasions i have lost these rolls on friday night. playing 2 tables 10/20 and a little 25/50. lesson learned im gonna have strict discipline after i deposit the 10k. that being said as far as 2/4 goes im pretty certain i can win at this level consistantly. 25 buy ins will be pretty safe i think. esp since im planning on getting rakeback, and possibly pokertracker. i was really hoping 2 get resonses from cake poker regulars and also some responses about poker tracker and rakeback. thanks again for your past and future replies

Can't even understand why you're still thinking about getting PT... Man, it's 1/200 of the amount you plan to deposit so what's the deal?
