The Why We are At War thread.
 

I really don't know what to do with that. Based on the description of the video, and after watching a few seconds of it, I closed it (because I really don't want to watch someone get beheaded), and then started to permaban Woolygimp (after seeing in his user notes that he's been suspended quite a few times from 2+2). However, Woolygimp pm'd me that the actual beheading was edited out. However, the video still really troubles me. I'm noot sure what to do with this one, I'm thinking permaban, based on this users history.

I also think this thread falls under the "posts designed to forment hatred" standard.

Edit: I permabanned the OP. I watched enough of the video, and it showed enough to be horrible.

i don't really have a constructive comment. Don't forget to lock your sticky and leaving a pointer when you move a thread to the mod forum is LOL. i can hear the users bitching already. lol

This was a bad ban. There is nothing wrong with that thread. Jman, there is no rule against pointing out the atrocities committed by groups like the Taliban.
Generally, links to mainstream media sources like the AP or links based on the same are usually OK.

Also, I'd take down that sticky you just put up.

I unbanned him. He definitely is still an ass, especially considering the content and tone of pm's that he sent me post-ban, but I think some valid points were raised by BluffThis in the ATF thread.
