Hellgate: London

Anyone playing it ?? Being an old Diablo2 fan i just bought it a few days ago. First few levels are a little stale. has the very addictive instant loot gratification feel. does the game get better after level 10 ?

the main thread for this is a few pages back

it does get better after level 10. as someone said, acts 4 and 5 are quite good. i played it quite a bit for the first couple weeks so i'm just taking a break from it now, but i'll probably start a new character soon

Im getting really pissed off at constantly getting stuck and having to restart the game. Means reclearing zones too wtf.

yeah, there are some problems if you jump around down alleyways or in corners, sometimes you do get stuck and have to log out and come back in. just avoid the empty spots, i guess?

though i've not had one crash/one error at all, not with patching or anything. game has run flawlessly on my pc, and i've got a low-to-mid range rig

/stuck sends you to the start of the zone

i have HGL but haven't played for a few days, and I just got CoD4 My issue with the game is after you finish it in normal, you can play w/ the char in Nightmare mode. The problem is after Act 1 or 2 the mobs are so high level compared to me that it takes forever to kill one normal mob. Nightmare mode does not scale with your char like normal mode did. Instead you face mobs that are 12-15 levels higher than you so yo can either go very very slow (takes forever to kill a mob) or you can go back and run through instances to level up. After running a loop of instances a few times I said screw it and started a new char.

Sounds a little like stepping into Hell mode in Diablo 2. Pretty big jump.

I'm under the impression that Hell mode wasn't as much of a pita as Nightmare mode...just from what I've read on the HGL boards.
