Wed NCAAB picks

I'm leaning on Bama -4.5, NCST -5.5, and Kentucky -6.

What is everyone else thinking?

really not feelin it on XAV -12.
Even with how well they've been playing lately and on senior night that's an awful lot of points to have to cover against a decent St. Joe's team.
Xavier lost at St. Joe's by 8 a month ago.

Liking Maryland +6 at Duke.
I think these teams are much more even than many people think.
Maryland is playing very well lately with 5 straight wins including Duke and UNC as well as at Clemson and at NCSt. The latter two aren't hugely impressive, but both were on the road and neither game was close. Winning by blow-out margins like that in the ACC is no easy task.

Duke at home = Maryland covers the +6 until the last minute of the game and the refs give Duke the cover.

This game just isn't worth playing at all. So I put 1 unit on Duke -5.5.

I like Aub -2 at home against LSU. These teams played Jan. 13th in LSU and LSU won by a bucket. LSU is a 2-8 team on the road and Auburn is a respectable 14-5 at home.

Lol, not so much of a senior night factor as Auburn doesnt even have 1 on its roster. Despite that, I still like Auburn -2.

Temple -5.5 on Sr Nite, also like the Under.
Clemson -11.5 since Miami's had 2 guys suspended recently. They just don't have the bodies losing 2 F to injury and now a G and F to suspension.

Re: Wed NCAAB picks

I don't see why you guys like Kentucky. They haven't beaten a team better than Georgia all year, and they're laying 7 currently? The way Tubby threw the players under the bus after the last (and 4th straight) loss to Vanderbilt, I wouldn't be surprised if Morris, Crawford and Bradley quit on him.

Mercer is out for UGA but they've been playing ok without him and they desperately need this game to have a chance at an at-large bid. They beat Kentucky in Athens in OT, and Kentucky is not playing as well as they were then.

The only thing going for Kentucky is that it's Senior Night, although this Senior class is Kentucky's worst in a long, long time.

I projected this as UK -4, 6-7 is definitely too many IMO. I'm on UGA +6 (oops).

Re: Wed NCAAB picks

I agree that the UK line doesn't look very attractive at all. Way too inconsistent to be giving 7 points in this matchup.

Am definitely leaning Georgia. Not sure i'll play it though.

Naj's Clemson pick looks interesting and I like his analysis of that one.
Definitely considering it.
Miami is pretty lost.

Clemson having lost 7 of their last 8 doesn't look so hot though. It's interesting because I really do think Clemson is a decent team and they do have a senior-night emotional boost in a pretty rowdy home-court building.
