which handheld
 

So the holiday season is fast approaching and i think i wanna look into getting one of the handhelds. Is there a general consensous on which is preferred? Originally i was leaning towards the psp but i've been reading some things that say that sony is being extremely stubborn in regards to the UMD and that the psp may go downhill because of it. The ds lite is cheaper but i'm not sure the game selection is quite as good. Any thoughts on these issues?

i like having a DS better because it's what my friends like and play.

like it or not, nintendo is more of the "video games for non-gamers" genre

Get a PSP if you want to watch UMD movies and play Final Fantasy and browse the internet in eye straining clarity. All else = Nintendo.

If you want to play the 80th version of Metroid and Sudoko gogo plus then get a DS. Otherwise get a PSP.

I used to have both a PSP and DS lite, and I preferred the DS by a country mile. There are far more games on the DS that I like, loading times are pretty much non-existent and the touch screen is fun.
