also just want to make sure this video card will run my dual monitors (30 inch dell and 20inch Samsung 204t). I know I could figure this out myself but I'm kinda dumb, ty.

Not bad at all...you could get an inspiron for cheaper with a basically more stuff if you are fine with a duo core 2.33ghz processor.

define more stuff. Would going with that slower processor make a noticeable performance difference? what extra stuff would I get with an inspiron? thanks :-)

it would be noticable if you are used to the E6850 in many tasks. That graphics card is middle of the road.

I do believe that card will run your monitors, if not looks like you can add a second for about 150.

Keyser...I am by no means an expert on this stuff..so all my answers come from either people on this forum or other people I have talked to...

the 2.33 will be sufficient for almost all tasks unless you are doing a whole lot of data processing/heavy duty processing.

If your note, the 2.33 should be more than enough imo. Others will be able to give more technical answers than me though.

the only thing you have than what he has is the extra GB of RAM which will be unnoticable while the processor will give you real gains.

The HDD you have is a 7200RPM and he has 10,000RPM, they are not comparable. The 10k is an upgrade over you HDD. GTS is a better graphics card than the GT.

looks delicious.

not the most robust system for gaming, but the vid card certainly shoudl have dual DVI.

Processor & harddrive are great, amount of memory is more than adequate for XP

What are you doign with teh system?

basically just poker and media stuff. I don't really play any computer games, so the computer might be overkill for my purposes.
