NL100 - QQ deep against nutgrinder

This player is a real nutgrinder only 3-bets JJ+ and AK preflop. So don't tell me to 4-bet

I think i played this hand very poorly.

I should donkbet this flop right?

Re: NL100 - QQ deep against nutgrinder

If your preflop read is really correct then he has AK about 50% of the time here. You probably need to have a good idea of how he plays AA/KK here to know what is the best line. If he won't lose a lot of money with an overpair then probably the c/r is good - hope he calls and you can milk turn/river. Otherwise I prefer a lead. If he raises then you may have to slow down and hope to boat up - this will miss value against overpairs/JJ but against this player may be correct.

However, if your preflop read is correct then you are saying he folded either second trips, the nut str8 or an overpair with a good draw (KK) or with small draw (AA) to a smallish raise on the flop. Nutgrinder indeed - you should presumably be able to destroy him.

I really think he folded AA or KK here

Folding KK here is really bad IMO

IME nits who only 3-bet JJ+,AK put their stack in with an overpair on any flop

Against a nit, we're not going to make much money here when we're ahead unless he has JJ so there may be a case to just call the flop and let villain possibly draw to ten outs with KK, or to let him check the turn through and try to get some value out of AA on safe rivers?

I'm thinking a passive line might be better in terms of maximising value while hedging risk considering his range, image, and the stack sizes.

[/ QUOTE ]As a nit I can say this isn't true. My reraising range while not in the blinds is AQ(against some people)/AK/JJ-AA and I'm not continuing with AA on this flop against a check raise. Oddly enough I open up my range in the blinds .
