packing the volcano
 

I'm flying home in a couple days and would like to take my volcano. Should I take any precautions when packing it? Do I have to worry about not taking any used bags or anything carrying pot?

I'm assuming that there isn't anything to worry about as I won't have any pot on me. But I'd really hate to get in trouble for anything stupid and I'm sure its widely known that the volcano is primarily used for pot here.

I have thought about bringing my volcano on a plane, and I figured that they could somehow bust you for like some dust on your volcano, so you might want to clean it down with alcohol or something? I dunno. I don't think it is worth the hassle.

They do make locking cases for them too. Although you might end up looking like you're carrying a nuke or something...

if anything is resinated leave it! thinking of bringing used bags into an airport is potentially a horrible idea, if anything id clean it perfectly and bring it in the carry on with Clean bags, leve the used ones. volcano base pack in main checked baggage. Clean bags and CLEAN top bring in carryon......good luck

could clean it then ship it iwth UPS or fedex whatever

My friend once had a security person search him and find his pot. He didn't care. These people aren't cops.

But they are Feds aren't they? Was your friend searched by TSA or private airport security?

After reading several posts in this thread, I have concluded that the "volcano" is some sort of device for smoking pot. It has been several years since I smoked the stuff and I am now obviously hopelessly out of the loop.

The image that came to my mind when I read the subject line of the OP was of the silly things we used to build when I was in elementary school. You took a board maybe a foot square and built up a cone with chicken wire and plaster of paris, with a tin can in the middle, then painted the plaster black. You put some chemical in the tin can (Ammonium dichromate, IIRC), and lit it with a match. It would shoot sparks all over the place depositing a layer of green ash. Why on earth would anybody want to take something like this on a plane?

Okay, I guess I'm ready for the nursing home now.
