Tourneys that need guarantees
 

Stars and Tilt have have guarantees slapped on most of their daily tourneys, but why not put some guarantees on some of the sweet tourneys that we play and love so that more fish play them. for me the list is the
100r
50r
20r

I know there are also some freezeouts here and there that should have guarantees. Also, I would love to see a nightly 6-max that has a guarantee on the scale of FTP's $100/30k guaranteed 6-max at 23:00. It seems like we start a new one of these threads every couple months but they haven't changed them yet.

the two $50 6max tourneys at 20.15 and 22.15, the two $50 one rebuy/addons at 17.15 and 00.15, the $20 one rebuy/addon at 14.15, the $30r 6max at 18.15

All of the one rebuy/addons and 6 maxes should get guarantees. I think it would greatly increase participation in the 6 maxes in particular.

exactly, these are some of my favorite tourneys and I would play them every day if they had a guarantee

I agree, and the guarentees wouldn't even need to be that high. Lots of fish just play with one buyin anyways, so having like a 20k guarentee on a 20r is still significant.

Dump the guarantee on the $4 buyin lhe in exchange for any of the 1r 1a tournaments.

You guys realize if a tournament gets $50,000 in the prize pool everyday and they slap a $30,000 gtd on it, it doesnt make a difference right?

Everytime I look at a Stars tournament its like a $20,000 gtd with $37,000 in the prize pool, or something like that.

Whats the point of getting rid of a guarantee? Its not like its costing them money to leave it.

I guess I dont understand why people get off in their pants saying "OMG THE FTOPS EVENTS ARE GUARANTEEING $XXX THIS TIME AROUND!! WOW"

The prize pools are always over, so it doesnt matter if a specific tournament is $1,500,000gtd or a $3,900 gtd tournament it still gets > 1.5mil

We're not asking for an overlay. It's widely known that tournaments with the pretty red $$ guarantee are softer than their non-guaranteed counterparts.

My customers like to see the guarantee on the box. It makes them feel good.

I could crap in a box and slap a guarantee on it but all you'd be getting it is a guaranteed piece of crap.

I think you give the fish too much credit. All they will see is wow... guarantees!!! must... play... everything.

lol, if you take off the 30k guarantee they won't get 50k in the prizepool.

If they added a 30k guarantee to the $22r, it would get over 40k everyday and quite possibly 50k.

They don't add guarantees to these type of tournies because the rake is low in the rebuys. They don't want to attract "fish" to these tournies since they would likely lose their money too fast.

PokerStars wants these "fish" to lose their money gradually over time to extract the maximum rake [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
