new monitor troubles
 

I just got the Acer Al2216W 22 inch widescreen monitor. It's hooked up to my laptop so I have an extended monitor setup. It's great, except the image is about 1 cm off to the left. Meaning, on the right there is a thin vertical bar of black, and on the left just a little bit of the image is being cut off. The Acer is on the right resolution fwiw. Any help would be appreciated.

there should be buttons on the monitor itself - to adjust brightness, contrast and horizontal position. it is the horizontal position you need to adjust.
