nlcash aa on gross board

opponent and i have played before a bit. wouldn't be surprised if he reads this.

in the past he's been aggressive in and out of position. he's been playing more aggro than normal but has slowed down in the past ten minutes.

i haven't been reraising out of position as much as i have in previous games. in our reraised pots, he's seen me crai on the turn with weak and strong holdings.

3/6 nl
effective stacks 775

i'm dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

he raises to 18. i reraise to 60.

flop (120)
K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
i bet 80. he calls.

turn (280)

people like leading this turn?

i checked. he bets 280 leaving 355 behind. i?

If you check turn, how likely is he to check or bet half pot?

I like leading since it cuts out flush draw odds and could win you the pot. I'd probably fold to an ai reraise.

edit: leading seems to imply you are more committed to the pot and discourages semibluffs by your opponent.

I think the turn is a clear check and once he bets I think its a clear push because it just looks like a good board for him to put pressure on when you check, Id push because hes going to be committed with a lot of his draws and I think he will call Kx a lot as well.

Why do you check? Why is it better than leading?

Given that its a good board for him to pressure you when you check, why check and invite that pressure? Are you that sure we are ahead so trapping is best?

If villain has seen strong and weak holdings c/r all in on the turn he's probably more likely to go in with a lot more, plus most turn bets will commit villain.

Also, given he knows this, you might get to showdown with a check behind here, which doesn't seem all that bad here.

Apparently in this hand he did not get the check behind, in which case I don't think cwar's idea is too bad, but you're drawing near dead against a few likely hands.
