How to handle shorty?

No history - first revolution after sitting:

Poker Stars, $0.25/$0.50 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

UTG: $58.60
MP: $31.70
CO: $18.35
Hero (BTN): $50
SB: $47.05
BB: $12.80

Pre-Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (BTN)
2 folds, CO calls $0.50, Hero raises to $2.50, SB folds, BB calls $2, CO folds

Flop: ($5.75) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
BB checks, Hero checks

Turn: ($5.75) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
BB bets $4.50, Hero??

In retrospect, is betting the flop the right move? Calling his turn shove?

Re: How to handle shorty?

shove flop.

He will call with any piece of the board from gutshots to deuces.

as played...im not sure...big math question, but you have no FE, implied odds suck, so do reverse implied, and I dont think you are ahead of his range significantly. Folding is probably best.

b/c flop, he shoves any draw, any T, pocket pairs sevens through nines.
He also folds alot which is why cbetting this flop is +EV

as played I think I jam the turn, we might be ahead, we're probably not but we have a redraw to the nut flush, a straight and two pair/trips and he might be trying to take it away from us.
probably not the best play, but i cant fold that hand.

Did the converter mess up? Looks like the turn bet is half what he has left, not a shove.

If he really shoved his 10.30 left on the turn I'd probably muck it, though.
