perky back?

ok, this is complete gossip that I drew my own conclusions to, but isn't that what this forum is for?

Anyways, yesterday I played a complete maniac at 10/20nl hu by the name of TimeServed. He would never fold preflop and if he didnt 3bet preflop would c/r 75% of flops. He would call 100% of my 3bets with any 2 and float 80% of flops and bet when checked to on 4th street. I ended up sort of tilting him and he went on a streak where he would 3 or 4bet every single hand to the point where this hand came up:

FullTiltPoker Game #4252857093: Table Ballad (heads up) - $10/$20 - No Limit Hold'em - 19:27:14 ET - 2007/11/21
Seat 1: holla-athca-boy ($8,843.25)
Seat 2: TimeServed ($2,806.50)
TimeServed posts the small blind of $10
holla-athca-boy posts the big blind of $20
The button is in seat #2
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to holla-athca-boy [Ac As]
TimeServed raises to $60
holla-athca-boy raises to $220
TimeServed raises to $2,806.50, and is all in
holla-athca-boy calls $2,586.50
TimeServed shows [3d 5s]
holla-athca-boy shows [Ac As]
*** FLOP *** [5d Qc Kd]
*** TURN *** [5d Qc Kd] [Ks]
*** RIVER *** [5d Qc Kd Ks] [2d]
TimeServed shows two pair, Kings and Fives
holla-athca-boy shows two pair, Aces and Kings
holla-athca-boy wins the pot ($5,612.50) with two pair, Aces and Kings
TimeServed stands up
*** SUMMARY ***
Total pot $5,613 | Rake $0.50
Board: [5d Qc Kd Ks 2d]
Seat 1: holla-athca-boy (big blind) showed [Ac As] and won ($5,612.50) with two pair, Aces and Kings
Seat 2: TimeServed (small blind) showed [3d 5s] and lost with two pair, Kings and Fives

So, he quits me and goes to 25/50nl where he plays boosted j, runs like god and takes 60k from boosted j. At one point in the match (when boosted was down about 50k) he asked TimeServed (hm, didnt perky just spend time in GA?) for 50/100 action. TimeServed declined saying he no longer played higher then 25/50, but that he used to play a lot on a diff id.

PS. I know this is kinda a long shot, but maybe?

Re: perky back?

I don't know, but LOL if it's true that Perky spent time in GA and has now therefore resolved to "only play as high as 25/50 from now on".

Seems a bit like a recovering alcoholic deciding to only funnel liquors 80proof and below.

TimeServed may be a guy I used to know from pokerroom. Evanski will probably remember him as well.

Not Perky.

The guy I am thinking of started out playing as jacksjr, then switched to timeserved to get rakeback. He gave a ton of action and liked to play HU.

I remember Jacks as well and yes he was also timeserved. Played both big NL and limit on pokerroom. It seems very likely they are the same person as he was indeed capable of creating huge pots HU and the names are identical capitilizations included

I believe he used to be a winner, but back then, everyone on the site sucked at NL.

pretty sure jacks was a loser even pre UIGEA on pokerroom. granted he played the biggest games somewhat consistently, so he wasnt truly horrible by any standard, but was a loser nontheless

this could very well be true. i didnt play a lot of NL then, I do however know he lost at the big limit games. I also recall him busting large rolls at least a few times once games starting gettin tougher/he was tilted but this doesnt necessarily mean he was a loser
