Which EPT events to enter?

So I have close to one million FPP and, for various reasons, have decided to use them to enter EPT events.

I am thinking of doing one of two things:

1) Entering EPT Dortmund and EPT Warsaw, which are a few days apart, have around 5k buyin and cost around 500k FPP.

2) Entering EPT Monte Carlo, which has 10k buyin and costs about a million points.

Just wanted to see what u guys recommend doing? One of the main reasons I will be going is to experience parts of the world I wouldn't otherwise go to. So, if one area is really great, that would sway my decision. Has anyone been to any of these cities/events?

could you elaborate a little? What is Monte Carlo like? Is there a lot to do there?

Play the two smaller events. You'll get more bank for your buck. The EPT events are tough and if you play two events you will get more play time and experience with less variance at places that are less expensive than Monte Carlo. Monte Carlo will be the 'baller' event to be at so if you just want to experience the 'Hollywood' side of poker just go to that one because it will be so big (although most of the pros will be European).

If you only want to go to some different regions then you can also consider the travel-card which has a pretty good FPP rate anyway.
$2500 for 150k. Not bad. Could have a really nice European cruise or tour or something like that and save the $5k EPT entry-fee.

But I'm attracted to these EPT events too and don't blame you for wanting to go. Just saying that if you're really not that into playing the tournament then you shouldn't.

Why would anyone want to go to Dortmund, when Barcelona is one of the choices?

While I have never been to Dortmund nor Warsaw, I would pick them over Monte Carlo any day, in terms of what there is to do when you're not playing poker. MC pretty much sucks as a tourist destination. Unless you want to go to overpriced generic night clubs, there isn't anything to do in MC. And for history, the French Riviera is not much of a destination either.

If you just want to win money, there will be more to win in MC, however.

And have your insurance go up and have to cover taxes and such? Unless stars covers that for you, though I doubt it.

Greg - defer to your superior poker judgement regarding tournament comparative analysis - but - "not much to do...: and ","..no history...."??? Check out the many medieval hill villages along the Cote d' Azur, like Eze, and in Turbie, a monument to Augustus Caesar built aover 2000 years ago...and, oohh la la, those toples beaches!!!
