Alas, yes. Most of the content is going to be move to TLDR, with some portion going to OOT as well.

However, after I've given other mods sufficient opportunity for their turns in the playground, I may just see if I can bring it back [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img].

now's a good time for people to give an opinion on a perm. food and drink forum. those with very strong opinions should feel free to pm me, as well as post them.

and while we're at it, DS has requested a health and fitness forum.

I'm content with the current expansion, so the decision will be based on the results of this thread. I don't have an opinion, right now, one way or another.

I don't think there's any real need for a food/drink forum given the level of quality food/drink threads achieve in OOT.

Three very different food threads I posted in OOT in the last week, all of which I thought went quite well. Note that those three threads received about 4,000 views in just a few days. Might be worth comparing that to thread views generated in split off forums.

Wine ,Whiskey, and Scotch, Scotch,Scotch threads all seem to do quite well also.

I do suspect that if you create a new forum, you'll see the same thing happen w/ some of the other forum splits - you'll get deeper discussion of food and drink, but concentrated among a much smaller group of people than would discuss the same topics in OOT.

As my unofficial moderator and forum advisor, your opinions carry much weight. And given the constant controversy surrounding the green ones, I request the OFFICIAL moderators refrain from posting in this thread.

That said, the users for whom these forums exist, should speak up now if they wish to have in- depth discussions about the stuff which we eventually dump in the toilet.

I'll make the decision tomorrow evening.

FWIW, a bunch of stuff posted in the "Money Making" forum that didn't really go anywhere might have been very useful threads with great feedback had they been OOT threads. I think the mods/admins should consider why that is before creating too many new forums.
