I just witnessed a shooting (killing?)

so me and my friends were in downtown santa barbara for fiesta going on this weekend. we're walking around, meet up with these other friends we haven't seen in like years. they want to go to a bar, we're not really feeling it so we go our separate ways. so me and my friends go through the side street to go back to State Street in front of a burger joint and just as we walk across we see a fight break out. so we're like, "cool, fight!" so we walk up a little closer to get a close look. one guy starts wailing away on another guy and they spill over a small wall and he starts pounding on him. then his friends come along to join the ruckus. one guy starts kicking the guy getting beat up on, then the cops come in and tackle two of the guys, yelling "police! police! police!" then a loud ruckus ensues and not two seconds later i hear "GUN! GUN! GUN!" and i see one of the cops pull out his pistol and aim it. then, POP! POP! POP! POP! POP! POP! at least seven shots go out. i see a muzzle flash and hear the shots. me and my buddy are no further than 15 feet away from this whole incident. my other friend already started running when he heard "gun!" i was sort of lost in a daze and couldn't really believe what was going on and me and my buddy just stood there and watched. after the fifth or sixth shot, it just dawned on me, HOLY SH!T, there's mother f*cking guns going off and we bolt. so we run in the opposite direction where another group of cops coming running our direction and see us running, so they have their hands on their pistols and tell us to get down on the ground. we quickly oblige and get down on the ground. then one of the cops say, "i don't think they're involved" and they say "get out of here!" and one of the cops gives me a pretty hard push as they bolt off in that direction.

so we quickly just get the hell out of there, not really wanting to stick around. i can't say exactly for sure if someone was killed because of how quick it all went down or not but i would guess from what happened, it would be a yes. i'll have to check the local news tommorow to make sure.

all in all a pretty damn crazy night.

Weird Google News, SB News Press and Daily Nexus have nothing on this. Was this just like today? If not thats a pretty scary cover-up to keep it out of the news.
