Looking for folks to participate in documentary
 

I'm producing a documentary for MTV about people who lead "alternative lives" online. We're reaching out to a number of different online groups and cultures, and we thought it could be fascinating to profile someone who gambles online. The key thing we’re looking for is that our subject leads a life that is very distinct/unique/interesting when juxtaposed to his or her online gambling activities. You must be in the age range of 18-28.

This would be part of the documentary series “True Life” which has won numerous journalism awards. I anticipate some eye-rolling when folks see everybody’s favorite whipping-boy network, MTV. The “True Life” series really does stand out from your typical MTV programming, as it is far less “reality tv” and more objective documentary. The series is always told POV the characters we choose, so there is no editorializing or commenting-on that we engage in. The effort, simply, is to tell the subject’s story in as objective a way as possible.

I really liked the True Life episode with the woman who unfortunately decided to have a breast reduction. She had some fine titties.

Wow all kinds of awesome potential for this... I agree with the FGators/LuckyJimm/Tuff_Fish/GrimStarr ideas because they would all be hilarious. Unfortunately this makes bad TV for the rest of the world that doesn't spent an unhealthy portion of their lives surfing 2+2. I think Brian Townsend, Durrrr, Good2cu, and any other reasonably high stakes hitman would make an awesome documentary for us and for the viewing world.

Im sure there will be something like three different people that they will end up doing this on as they usually go with 3 subjects from I remember of this show. 1 Im sure will be some high stakes baller the plays 10/20nl+. Another will prolly be a midstakes player that makes a very nice living off of poker. The last one Im thinking will be a person like luckyjim, a gambling addict or some casual gambler who has lost quite a bit but for fun (Id say the former would be the most likely). This should turn out interesting though as most of the true life shows usually are.

mr. giggles. Yes it is usually 3 people but OP said they are doing a true life on people who have "alternative lives" online. I think poker would be one of those 3, and the other 2 would be some other type of online thing
