Advice For First Job Interview?

I posted this over in the Student Life forum, but thought I would also post it here as some of you are older and could maybe give advice from the interviewer's perspective as opposed to students who have been interviewed, but advice from both is greatly appreciated.

I have my first real interview this Wednesday for an internship next summer.

One question I know they are going to ask is about any leadership roles/positions I have ever held. Just wondering if anyone has a good response to this question as I have never held any real leadership position. Not necessarily a bullshitting-type answer, just a good, positive way to approach the question knowing the answer is basically "No."

My resume is also not very impressive, but I am only a Sophomore in college so I don't know how much this will affect me. Through high school I worked 3 years at a restaurant which is my only work experience. That is pretty standard work for a kid my age, so I don't know if that will matter much to them or not.

Besides those two points, any kind of general advice would be appreciated. And as this is BBV, any sarcasm, flaming, hopes that I fail terribly are also appreciated. Thanks a lot for serious responses and just good laughs

Here is a quote from their website talking about the hiring process and the interview aspect of it specifically.

Interview
A formal, one-on-one opportunity for a company representative to meet with a qualified student interested in pursuing the program. During the interview, we are looking for students who have a strong work ethic, a drive to succeed, strong leadership skills and of course the potential to learn and develop. We also review the territory where the student is going to be during the summer to ensure that we are hiring for that area.

Best advice is to take advice from blutarski. Hopefully he sees this thread and sets you on the right path.

-offer 'services' for the interviewer and your supervisor if you're hired.

-explain that you're only on the sex-offender registry due to a misunderstanding.

-state right up front that you can only work with people of your own race.

-bring a stool sample. In a paper bag.
