i thought the way she presented herself was a little weird too, she could have at least spit out the gum and brushed through her hair... i understand her wanting to be like "i don't care what you think of me, so i'm going to prove it by dressing like a slob if i want to" attitude , since she wants people to leave her alone. but not when you're trying to get sympathy and be taken seriously, on a dateline interview.

although i do kind of feel bad for her anyway.

I have to give major props to whoever her managers were during the 2 years or so she began hitting it big, they really did a great job of hiding the fact she's just a white trash hick from Louisiana (I lived in Baton Rouge for 8 years, I know what I'm talking about).

As others have said, she didn't "turn" this way, she was born and raised this way and her handlers very intelligently hid it from the public, presenting her as "sweet, innocent, Southern virgin jailbait" as they knew that would lead to success and "uneducated, classless trailor park skank" would not
