March Madness Sports Book Seating?

Hey all,

Apologies in advance if this is abuse of the forum... mods delete/move at will.

I tried B&M forum with no success... where is the best on strip book to watch the NCAA Tournament as far as getting a seat for me and 3 friends, and what time should we arrive on wednesday evening? We're willing to get there as necessary, we just want to plan accordingly.

If this is searchable, I can't get the right search string so please PM me links or search strings.

Thanks!

It's gotten so bad now I wouldn't even THINK of going to Las Vegas. I can roll out of bed at 7:30, drive over to the Grand Sierra (the old Hilton) around 8a or so and grab a seat on the first Thursday. Getting up at 4am to watch basketball ain't worth it.

Of course, Reno ain't Vegas, for better or worse......

This is 100% fair and probably more than corret. I'm young and dumb... anyone have recent experience to give me a basic idea of when I'd need to arrive?

PS Hobbes, you think you might find yourself in Tahoe this winter? I got a house, and gamble...

Mandalay Bay book has comfy open seating with BIG screens, but get there > 3 hours before first tipoff to reserve good seat.

arrive b4 7am Thu morning, by 6 am all other days, altho Sunday you can arrive later as there may not be an 'early' game at all, and 50% of crowd is gone.

Been going since 1996, no problems getting seated at the larger books. Mirage, MB, Luxor, etc

If you are part of a crowd just have someone head down when you get back at 4am and save, or wake up at 5am to be sure.

We moved our group(12 guys) to Planet Hollywood last March and it was perfect on Thursday and Friday. They had the poker room upstairs also and ton's of TV's. Not sure how it will be this March though with renovations finished.

Saturday and Sunday we were at Mirage without any problems.
