First of all I would raise preflop to 6$. You are ahead of the limpers range so try and isolate one of them.

Furthermore I would raise more on he flop. I make it 14$ there. The board is pretty drawheavy and you're against two opponents. You have to protect here.

Turn is fine. He might have hit his straight here sometimes. But he will do this with weaker 2pair or some hands that picked up a combo draw on the turn as well. I don't think that he has a set here. The only set he might have is 77. And he probably would have 3bet a set on the turn.

I never fold the turn here.

I cant imagine he has AJcc. He would probably have raised the 3$ bet on the flop if he had such a big draw.

Raising this preflop will put you into a much better position on the flop. Raising preflop allows you to commit with your raise on the flop. This would have made the turn an easy decision.

Agreed, I should have raised pre, I guess I must have been pretty aggro a few pots in a row and wanted to tone it down this hand...

Anyhow, nobody guessed the villains exact hand, but it actually makes the most sense...I dont hate the way i played this, but certainly an unfortunate situation...

Villain had Jc9c making a turned gutshot.

Solution: Avoid running into this hand by a pre-flop pot raise.

Raise pre and raise a lot more on the flop.

Probably fold turn unless hes really bad.

If he's semi-solid hes got AJc/J9c or 77.. all of which play like this in a typical .5/1 game.

What do you think hes putting all this money in the pot with that you beat, given the action?
