I feel safer. I can't wait until homland youth makes its debut. I'm busy right now making a list of people I hate that I can turn in for harassment.

From the guys who brought you the drug war it's round two :

The federal government vs your civil rights.

You lost the first match, get ready for another smashing! How weak you are. Ha ha ha! Ha ha ha!

This doesn't really bother me that much, since I'm not a criminal, what's the big deal? This should only make you scared if you are doing something wrong.

you think it's a joke, it's been in the papers that a lot of guys like meter readers and cable installers were ad hoc (commission) informants for the authorities to spy on people. Now I guess it will just be more structured, these guys will just get a second paycheck for 'reporting suspicious activity'.

ENJOY!

So you wouldn't mind me searching your house, personal items, bank statements, computer files, medical records, etc, right?

Well if that does ever happen, it would most likely be done without me finding out, so that is kind of moot, I wouldn't have the opportunity to be bothered. Having these searches done without people finding out is actually a much better way of organizing this kind of thing, because that way it works as a bonus deterrent in addition to all the real criminals it will catch. If I know my house might be searched in the next couple months, I'd have to be pretty stupid to leave it there. Thus, I don't break the law and buy pot. That is an abstract example, but the theory works in that people are not going to break the law if they know they are going to get caught. So this is going to make me a lot safer, since it's going to both catch criminals and deter new ones. Honestly how does that not make sense?

Time for the cliches about freedom and liberty to be dragged out once again.
