I really don't get why mods can't delete posts anywhere. Just make it only for spam/viruses/hardcore porn inline. Make it clear to mods that if they abuse this cross-forum power, then they will be de-modded. That would prevent abuse.

no it really wouldnt actually because the software doesnt log any mod actions besides bannings/unbannings and there's already been plenty of abuse in other things the software can't track.
