how's stars going for you?

i do admit i have weird stats, but i did alright at stars for the i think 40kish hands i clocked at .25 and .50.

Stars is going pretty well for me. I'm set on playing 100NL for now unless I hit a downswing that puts me back into 50NL-bankroll territory. Still break-even at 100NL, but small sample size (2k hands). Haven't had much time to play these past couple days.

Where do you play now?

Yeah, IMO with good table selection, 100NL is just as beatable as 50NL. It's just a matter of running hot at first to pad my bankroll and be able to withstand the inevitable downswing without having to move back down to 50NL.

sometimes i think table selection is probably the most important thing...ever. it took me a while to learn that...anyway...as i said, good luck. when did you/when are you gonna start playing 100NL?

2 days ago, on Stars. And yeah, table selection is the most important thing (aside from knowing how to play poker, obv.), because think about it:

If you have position on a 50/10/1 at a 100NL or a 50/10/1 at 25NL table, what's the difference? Well, you can get more money from him in absolute terms, assuming he's fully stacked at both tables. If you can pick your tables well and find ones with maybe only 1 solid reg and a bunch of 35-50/5-15/2 type guys, you're essentially at a 25/50NL-quality table, except the stacks are larger. Same game. If you can beat them at 50NL, you can beat them at 100NL.

how do you guys go about reviewing long sessions? I find it ok to look over 200-400 hands, but 1500+ gets tedious. Are there any shortcuts (ie only looking at certain types of pots) or am i just going to have to put in more time to really analyze everything?
