Hypothetical B&M Question
 

This is a hypothetical B&M question; I was wondering what would happen in the following situation. I'm not actually contemplating doing this.

Say I sit down in seat 5, and my buddy is sitting in seat 7. Now, I get involved in a big pot with seat 8. The river has just been dealt, and seat 8 is counting out a bet. But while he's counting out his chips, my buddy in seat 7 takes his cards and throws them in the muck. The cards are not identifiable.

What happens?

Buddy banned from casino.
If Floor does not know you are buddies, pot chopped between you and other player.
If Floor does know, you lose. You barred too, if you say a peep.

Unless proven, I don't think bud should pay for seat 7 being a jerkoff.

I'd be kinda pissed if my bud did that and he'd hear about it right there at the table. In fact, I'd probably be the one asking for him to be tossed.

What happens? You lose the pot and experience a sudden, excruciating pain in your groin. That's what happens.

If you’re fortunate, you also learn a lesson about the importance of having good buddy selection skills.
