Cowboys ASSISTANT suspended 5 games for Substance
 

Cowboys assistant Wade Wilson has been suspended for 5 regular season games and fined ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS...

For drugs he was taking to help control his diabetes, which he has dealt with for 24 years. Real worries about the competitive edge there, right? I guess he performs better as a coach when he's not, you know, dying. This is so far beyond reason I can't even explain it. I had no idea they were even following coaches, but until he suits up for the Cowboys after Tony Romo fumbles on another FG attempt, I can't help but laugh at this stupid decision on the NFL's part.

1) The substance was not yet revealed. It may have been HGH, it may not.

2) Even if it WAS growth hormone - HE'S A COACH! That in no way gives him any competitive edge over anybody.

3) There has been no connection to him giving anything to any players.

There is a piece of the puzzle missing here. Why would Wilson APOLOGIZE for this? Does he really believe he did something wrong?

On its surface this seems asinine. According to the facts as presented in the story, I cannot imagine accepting this. I would tell Goodell where to stick it and appeal the decision. There must be some reason he is not.

You think it's stupid to regulate an NFL assistant coach caught red-handed illegally obtaining HGH, with the possible intentions to distribute to players.

But yet, in other discussions, you want to see baseball players burnt at the stake despite any compelling evidence?

Correct me if I got you confused with someone else, but am I far off here?

Remember, our goal here is to save the children, and the kids watch football too, not just baseball.
