1-2 NLH goes 24/7, 50 min buy-in & most players buy-in for min. Play this game if you want to laugh your head off or kill time.

2-4 NLH tends to start around 10-11 am and goes til 5-6 am, if not all day. 100 min buy-in but usually plays deeper.

5-5 NLH starts at 2 pm and goes all night. 250 min buy-in, not uncommon to see a few 5K+ stacks, especially after midnight. 20 hourly table charge.

5/10 & 10-20 NLH run on occassion, mostly when there are big tourneys going on. 500 & 1000 min buy-ins, no max. 30 & 40 hourly rake.

All NLH games should be profitable for a 2+2'er. Try not to smirk when some guy bets 300 in to a 50 pot and goes to showdown with 2nd pair.

1-2 and 2-4 PLO go all day. No idea about the standard of play. I think they run 4-8 Limit Omaha also.

Dealers Choice is played all afternoon & evening. I know 5-5 & 5-10 runs regularly not sure about lower limits.

They have a mixture of bigger limit games. DC, Badugi, 2-7 Lowball, limits run from 30-60 (maybe 20-40) up to 400-800.

Tournaments every day at 2 pm and 9 pm. I think the 2 pm tourn is a daily 50 NLH freezeout. Generally bad structures.

Dress code is basically smart shoes, but gets stricter in the evening.

as said, the aviation club of france is the best place in paris: dealer and floor are serious, can not say the same for the other places....


ambiance is nice: sometimes a little crowded, and a lot of smoke.
big tables (ie NLHE 250+/5/5 or delaer choice ) are in a little room, more quiet and with less smoke.

players r as everywhere, poker players: pro, fishs, internet, gamblers ....

if you play little 2-2 table you will have to face tsome crapy loosy goosy poker, but could be nice [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

u can wait between 0 to 2hours, especialy for 50 or 100 bucks tables.

players there are nice with strangers people...and their money [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Just a few corrections to previous answers :

as loorent said tables are 2-2 (previously called "la trente" now guess it's "la cinquante" w/ a buy-in 50-200) then 2-4 (100 and +) then 5-5 (250 and +) 5-10 (500 and more)
There is basically NEVER any single PLO game. You'll find a Dealer's Choice game at the 5/5 level but it will usually lead to high variance games like omaha 5 hi-lo and courchevel hi-lo.

If you don't want to play the 2-2 game (which has a pretty high rake as .. well as all ACF tables) or if you like to play PLO - or if you just don't mind playing it indeed, you can try the Gaillon. 5 minutes of walk away from ACF. Same owners so dealers and floor are ok (which is the reason why "Le Concorde" should be absolutely avoided). They have 2-4 and 5-5 games running pretty much all the time with a waiting list usually much shorter, less tables per square meter so smoke will be of smaller inconvenience. Games played are : NL ; PLO and PLO/NL mixed every orbit. Players are if possible even worse at Omaha.

Just wanted to say that what everybody said in this thread is pretty much spot on. I played the 2-2 game (which has a ridiculous rake) and the game was full of donkies buying in short and leaving once they busted. It was unreal how high the turnover rate of players was.

Dealers were very good, although the game could be run more professionally. Dealers did not have change except for a rack of two's, which meant players had to either get them from a runner, or what was more common at my table, exchange at another player. It was not uncommon to see the player who received the cash in to pocket the money, effectively 'going south'. Also, string raises, acting out of turn etc. was all allowed and people were able to take their money back. This leads to a nicer atmosphere so I didn't really mind it. Also, the highest denomination money they had when I cashed at the cashier were 20's, which I think is kind of weird and annoying.

As for the dress code. The first thing the bouncer looked at were my shoes, so I figured that was the most important. I had a grey hugo boss hoodie on which I had to take off, but I had a dress shirt with me just in case. Smoke was indeed very, very terrible.

I was very surprised to see how small the club was, especially the casino part. It was basically three small living rooms with various games. But of course I came to play poker and the poker room was pretty big (although not as nicely decorated as the rest).

There was a parking lot with an exit just in front of the casino which cost $3 per hour or $26 for a day, which was nice to have so close.

Thanks for all the information and I will be visiting ACP again soon, as well as some of the other rooms I hope.

Actually, a driver's license worked fine. And my friend and I are still horribly ill from the trip from food poisoning (sp?) so I'd say it's a slight bit worse than 'nothing special'.

And the legal age to play is 18.
