Headhunter tournaments on crypto

What are peoples views on them? I think they'll become massive soon.

Half the prize pool is split between each player as a bounty and if u knock that player out then u get 75% of their bounty and 25% is added on to yours.

I think they're awesome. I haven't played them yet but I heard about them.

What happens to your bounty btw if you win?

Sounds like a fun idea to me. I'd atleast like to play a few of these before deciding.

I played one for the first time yesterday. Very good idea and the extra traffic that they have brought to crypto over the last few days is unbeleivable.

Will be interesting to see if the number of players remains high or drops off as with most new things crypto introduce.

I've just started playing in these. I would be interested to hear people's views on the strategic changes required in this type of MTT.

My original philosophy was to play them as normal and treat the headhunting as a side bonus, but even after a few (and a disappointing payout when I made final table but only took 1 head) I'm not sure that's correct. Looks to me like one needs to double or quit as early as possible.

Any thoughts?

I would definately agree with the double or quit strategy. I also final tabled one last week and was the chipleader with 4 left having only taken 3 heads from a 300+ field.

To get a nice payout you have to be willing to race more against the shorter stacks. In the later stages id even say you have to be willing to get your chips in bad vs the shortstack players in the later stages, who by that time, have easonable bounty on their heads.

I would also like to hear anybody elses thoughts on strategy for these tourneys as at the moment, my game definately favours MTT's with standard payout.

Yeah i've been playing a few of these and still not sure on the ideal strategy, although am calling shortie all ins very very wide where possible (obv not utg+1 etc) and push draws hard. But maybe i should be doing this anyway!

would be interested in further strategy thoughts but generally i just get them in the middle as often as possible!

If you win, do you get the bounty on your head, or is this extra rake?
