Very standard. Very very standard. nh

I would call down a turn raise. I call a river raise too so river is b/c. You have too little hands on the BB to assume he really is that passive so a raise anywhere would not scare me out of the pot. But as he is in the BB I'd give him enough credit for a big hand so I wouldn't reraise.

No way you should you check behind this river if that's what you were thinking about.

(What was the problem here? If he had FH or flush he let you go for at least 1BB too cheaply.)

Well that answers my question .. I was just curious if I should check behind on the river.. but I guess then I would be giving up too many bets when I just get called called called.

When do you know when to shut down.. wait for them to raise and start playing back?

I like to keep betting unless they give me a reason not too.

I notice lots of people just call call call even if they have a great hand. I suppose that they are not getting maximum value from their hands when they win so are probably losing in the long run.

Villain usually has a worse A and pays off, so betting the river is standard. If he has AK/AQ, oh well.

True enough. THis villain is passive so sometimes he is going to turn over AK, AQ, or even a low flush he was afraid to raise with because of the full house possiblities. More often than not though this villain is calling with a pocket pair or weaker ace. Don't hesitate to make these kind of value bets on the river.
