5-table Turbos

I've been playing 6.50 18 player turbos on stars for some time, running at 27% over 500+. I started to run cold for a while, reviewed my hands, and then decided maybe I should try adding a couple 5-tables into my sessions of 2-tables. After playing just a few I noticed the players in these are considerably worse than in the 2-tables, or in any other game I've ever played online. Today I played 35 of those five-tables, and, although my results weren't great (too small sample size) I do believe that this is the worst field on all of stars.

I am wondering if people think there is maybe more value in these five-tables because of the bad fields even though the blinds can be pretty large by the end of the tournaments. What ROI should I expect from these (I want to say close to 50% is sustainable). Does anyone else multitable these? General Thoughts?

Thanks,
Alex

the 45 person turbos are known to be one of the softest sngs on stars. even as high as the 60s the play isn't great. Suggestions to most new players building rolls are the 3 dollar 45 mans. I think 50 percent is def sustainable, but as you probably know the more players the larger the variance, so don't be surprised with long breakeven or losing stretches. The large blinds although increase the luck factor, can be exploited as well. Best of luck to you, it seems like you've learned from one of the best.

The 45-player, $60s seem to be a crapshoot. Play isn't good early, but you'll be at all-in push/fold mode with M's of 4-8 with still 20-25 players left.

Shove-festing with 1/2 the field still in the game leads to monster variance.

FWIW. To test some timing considerations, I entered a couple $3 45-man turbos and simply folded every single hand. I placed 13th and 15th respectively. They were insanely wild.

Simply folding every hand at the $60's probably won't even get you into the top 25. People aren't nearly as bad. I've sharkscoped a lot of the FT players on them and I haven't seen anyone that maintains >15% ROI over the long run at the 60's.

Of course 60s are going to be tougher than 3s and 6s. I'm still curious what a good goal ROI is in these 5 tables. Probably need a sample of at least 500 to make any judgements, but I would like to know what to aim for, and I personally have no clue (I guessed 50% but that's just by feel not by any real logic).

At the $3-6 range, I wouldn't be suprised if a really good player could manage 50% or even 100% ROI. People make enough mistakes early that your skill edge in the early levels can reap monster rewards and set you up for a good shot in shove/fold mode.

I have played 150 of the 6.50's and 12, and I am running a 80% ROI. I don't even think I am running hot, I think it could easily be over 100%. I am not even that good!! They are by far the softest game I have found on stars.

I have been slaughtering the 45 man sitngos. Running at 75% roi mostly 3$ but starting with 6$.
This is over 120 tourneys.

That is not nearly a big enough sample size, but that is good to hear. I think I am going to stick it out, maybe post again once I hit 1000 played.

The $6's are extremely soft. Far softer than the $11's.
You can def sustain the 50% roi, and perhaps 100% roi, but your sample size will need to be huge. There's a lot more variance in a 5 table than a 2 table, and the turbo just amplify that.

Anyone with decent pushbot strategy can tear these apart. I did a large part of my bankroll building with these for awhile.
