I don't think you're losing much equity as a PSB on the flop puts all but a buck or two in the middle. And yes your thinking is correct Whyzze which is why I usually 4bet to an amount 1/3rd of the effective stack so that 5bet shoves can be lighter. |
Re: ***uNL Microbrew Thread*** NOV 2007 (ot)
i agree with you completely. my 4bet would be 18-20 depending on the size of his 3bet.

Re: ***uNL Microbrew Thread*** NOV 2007 (ot)
Goofyballer talks about sizing 4bets in his NL50 vid, that with 100bb stacks our light 4bets need to be smaller than pot sized to leave us with leverage (ie allow us to fold), and thus our 4bets for value should also be less than pot sized (to remain unexploitable).

see this thread for elaboration. fwiw, i 4bet much more often pre with premiums than with junk. [/ QUOTE ] I agree with that post. But to bring caution, make sure it's like the 3rd or 4th time in a session that villain has 3bet you to employ this. That is important. Also make sure villain has 3bet multiple times in certain position in a small sample of hands. |
