he limps and i check 96o

Flop: K55r, i check, he insta-bets 240...this looked like a pretty cheap stel for me, so decided to c/r to 700..thinks for a while and calls

Turn: 9 since he called me i actually planned to give up
he checks behind.

River T no flush arrived.

Here i thought he could very well have a pretty weak king or some sort of Ahi-stuff or a pp.

I bet 1.600 into 2000 Pot....

he thinks for a while and says: ok, i pay off your 5 and shows KT [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

Weird line, once you check the turn, I think you have to check the river. If I was in his shoes, I would actually think you had the busted FD and prob called with any pair or even ace high.

If you want to do this, I think you should have waited until the turn to c/r. In reality just let it go on the flop, to try and convince him you have a 5 will generally require you to commit a lot of chips. I.e if you had a five, you would be betting lots of chips.

Just check the river, you are beating Ahi, and any pocket pair he may be limping with, so your bet gets a fold out of hands you beat and call from ones you don't. If you think you're 9 is good, bet less to get a call from those hands.

If you must bluff, bet the turn. I c/f the river, from his shoes, your line is so wierd you get looked up here a lot.

1. c-rai with a 5? doubtfull.
2. will your river bet get better hands to fold? i think not.will worse hands call? i think not. therefore bet is bad. a block bet could be ok here.say 700.

so i don't like either bet
