I've heard in the past that iron likes to book bets. So if he offers you only 1:10 (& no juice) on the prop that something will go horribly wrong, necessitating a switch back to UBB, then you should sell your house and take all the action iron will book. Easy 10% return on your money for a day's work.

There will be some bumps but it'll go much better than the last ubb, because vbulletin handles things better imo

why, when talking about computer equipment, is the word "upgrade" synonymous with "totally stuffing everything up"?

So what happened last time this was attempted?:

a) bad product

b) bad implementation

c) bad hardware/web host

And what has changed?

Speshul Dude,

Plz utilize the services of a ninjabumper for that. The ninjabumper union is adamant about enforcing its work site rules.

TT,

Although I too would prefer to keep UBB for familiarity and reasonable functionality, I doubt I will have a problem with VB. I am only questioning the transition going off relatively smoothly.

the only potential problem we see is users not knowing how to log in. Our usernames will be changed to our screen names. In UB the screen name and user name is separate. Ryan/Chuck/Kiera have already tested the porting and it works perfectly. I think those who dont read the instructions and dont understand the username issue will be upset, and everyone else will marvel at how natural the progression to VB will become.

I'm going off to Vegas Sunday so I'll miss all the fireworks. Hope the transition goes smoothly.
