Deion Branch: Jets & NFC Team Reach Agreement

According to Newsday the Jets and an undisclosed NFC team (I think it's probably the Vikings) have reach a contractual agreement with Branch. Teams are trying to work out a compensation package with the Patriots.

I really can't see the Pats trading Branch to a team within the division, right? But keep in mind the Jets have 2 second round picks next year, thanks to the Redskins.

As a Jets fan, I would love to have Branch and Coles out there. This would be a big improvement for the Jets.

However, I'm sure that Branch isn't worth a 1st round pick and I don't know if he is even worth a 2nd round pick (even a late 2nd round pick which is what the Redskins pick will probably turn into).

Maybe the trade will be straight up for McCareins. j/k.

This has the potential to be the worst trade for a wide receiver since... the Jets traded for Coles! j/k Jets fans I'm just bustin' balls.

Curious to see the details of this deal. However, if the Pats let you guy it's probably a good sign you're not worth what you're gonna get.

Seahawks are the NFC team.

I still don't think the Pats trade him, unless they get a 1st and a 2nd or something like that

this is the case, even as the Patriots are well under the cap. these guys hold the line pretty ruthlessly.

I agree with this that's why I can't see the Jets giving up a first or 2nd rounder for him. If they do I will not be happy.

Side Note: I thought Tannenbaum did well yesterday.

Looks like he got a 6th round pick for Jolley from Tampa. He got a run blocking TE, Ryan from Dallas for a 7th. And then he traded Bollinger for a DT, Mosley and another pick (probably a 6th or 7th). That's not bad considering Jolley and Bollinger were going to get cut most likely anyway.

Wow, if the Seahawks do this they're the defacto #1 team in the NFC. I don't see any arguments otherwise.

I thought for sure hed be going to NO.

Ill be happy with him in NY, but not for a first rounder.
