Many images in that thread failed my test of NSFW.

Hot chick threads are always on the edge. I would suggest looking elsewhere imo.

Also the OP of that thread was a troll, and troll's OPs don't get to live.

I have no idea what was in that thread, but inline nudity is not allowed even if labeled NSFW. I let dids make the call on thongs and such, but frontal nudity (i.e. vagina) or nipples are definite no no's. Just post a link and label it NSFW. Hardcore porn (links or inline) is not allowed.

I hate to be a pain in the ass on this topic but under rule 14, if something like a chick holding her breasts is considered NSFW, then what's the consequence of that? Can it be posted inline with a NSFW tag on the thread? Or does its NSFW status qualify it as "porn" under rule 4, and therefore make it illegal to post inline under any circumstances?

These are all judgement calls. If there's only a few pictures, I might change them to urls. If there's a ton, I'm probably just nuking the threads. If you want to post something, and it's close, link to it instead.

A couple of weeks ago I posted some nude pics of hot chicks, and after 10 minutes or so I edited the post and removed the pictures. I was never caught by a mod though... what the deal with that!?

Well that thread sounds borderline at best. It's all about context. A thread with ten pictures that all push the boundaries is a pretty easy delete. One picture out of 20 is just a picture delete (or edit to a link) with a warning. Everything in between is base upon mod judgement. Sorry I can't give you any bright lines. Justice Stewart couldn't define hardcore pornography, but he knew it when he saw it. I'll use the same copout on NSFW. (Note that I don't normally issue bans to known posters for stuff that is merely borderline as long as it seems to be in the spirit of the thread.)

ugh. If you're going to be giving out severe punishments like a permaban, there should be more clarity than "it's a judgment call" imo. Just my $.02

Obviously, if it's some moron posting hardcore pictures just to be an ass then it should be a permaban. But, if some dude just slips up then I'm sur the mods will be lenient... depending on their mood that day I guess.

I saw that thread last night and there was nothing major to complain about. There is a facebook thread in student life and teenage girl thread in OOT that has much worse.

The crazy turk thread didnt get deleted cuz of bad content, it got deleted because as dids said, the OP was a troll. It is specifically stated that threads started by known trolls will get deleted.

Well, it got deleted because of content to be honest, but it would have been deleted of other reasons anyway.

In terms of permabans.

If you obviously intentionally post nudity, I would be comfortable banning you. I might not, but I could.

If you post obvious porn (aka wang in mouth/vag/ass/ear/nose), you can expect to get permabanned if we catch you.

The judgement call is more "is that picture of that girl that is clothed but showing a lot of ass/tit NSFW". The standard is always going to be "do I feel comfortable with that on my screen at work".

oh i didnt know that guy was a troll. all i knew was that last night was my first visit to bbv4l and i was very pleasantly surprised with that thread lol...only to be heartbroken. oh well

and as for being comfortable with a picture on your screen at work, many of us work at home sooooo (jk)
