Man I loved this dude when I was kid he always had great things going on
In tribute lets post some of our favorite science experiments he did.

I remember one when he took the liquid Nitrogen and froze a flower and an apple and smashed them as a kid that was really cool.

he has this powder and a fishtank full of water, he would pour this powder on top of the fishtank, and he could put his hand into the water and it not get wet. Its not surface of the water that gets you wet, not the water.

I didn't know the show was on before Nickelodean.

I loved that guy. I don't have a specific experiment in mind, but I can actually still hear his voice telling us:

"Feet cold? Try wearing a hat!" And then explaining that we lose more body heat from our head than any other part of the body due to higher blood flow and surface area.

Mr. Wizard - RIP man.

Too bad he never got around to that cancer unmetastasizing experiment.

Man, I remember almost every single one of his experiments and demos: the optical illusions, the vacuum pump, pouring water into a beaker from across the room using a string, the dancing spaghetti -- I watched that show every single morning as a kid. It's a shame that there hasn't been a decent science show to take his place. I'll probably have to buy the DVDs when I have kids.

Loved Mr. Wizard when I was kid, made me very sad when I heard this on the news today. I even had Mr. Wizard Chemistry Set, with lots of different experiments.

RIP Don.

Poor guy, at least he lived a long time. I'll join the crowd saying that was one of my favorite childhood shows.
