WINNING --- loosing

From mid July to august 20th I had a ROI of about 28 playing 11$ Speed Sit and Gos at Party. Played around 700 tourneys. Made good money. Then after 20th august, I suddenly started loosing. Get drawn out very often, loosing most coinflips, loosing most hands when solid favorite, rarely win with AK, never get better than third place and so on. I don't think I have changed my game. What was a solid winning game, suddenly became a loosing one. Is this just a variation in luck? Or could Party be rigged; put winning player on loose so that money get distributed to weaker players -- a way to build bigger player base. Some people suggest it is rigged ... What I think is strange, is that the shift from winning to losing is so abrupt and clear. Fluctuations don't seem normal. Anyone else have experienced the same thing? What are your thought upon this matter? I feel like quitting Party after such a bad run. What would you experienced Sit and Go players do in my situation???

Some people might say that 700 isn't a big enough sample size, but I think it's actually more likely that Party is rigged

"I think it is actually more likely" is very vague for me. What do you build this assumption on??

I've played around 1500 or so of the 11's @Party. The variance in these can be very high as i think they play more like extreme/ultra turbo's.

I think i dropped half my roll on more than 1 occassion!

700 is not a big enough sample size IMO, to draw any conclusions just yet.

Stick with it.

What i found with these, was that the standard of play was pretty dire, but players did actually shove a lot when they should do. This had more to do with the 200-400 blind increase which catches you out, than any understanding of ICM.

downswing = normal sounds like u were running hot had a downswing and why would online sites be rigged, im sure some company out there regulates them, if you cant handle the swings maybe pokers not for u , at least not no limit.

It could be you were a losing player running hot for 700 sit n goes.

It could be you're a winning player on a downswing.

It could be the games have become tougher and although you were once a winning player, your are now a losing player.

It could be that party is rigged.

It could be BASTARD.

One thing we do know, is your sample isn't large enough to say for sure.

Read the FAQ. Especially the sections on sample sizes and downswings. Follow the links you find inside.
