Special Edd is awful. He looks for the biggest threads in BBV and BBV4L and spends his time trolling them and insulting everyone who posts in them. But that NVG thread you linked is just repulsive and stupid.

This is an easy ban once Dids sees it. I say give him a month off.

Heh, I thought EDD was generally respected by the mods and posters but don't come across him much.

Don't forget, he's the same poster who started the thread whoring for page views that led to the site being crippled for half a day or whatever. Somehow EDD escaped unscathed on that one and then made a really stupid defense in ATF about all of it. That plus what pj says upthread then yeah, here is yet another BBV4L regular with poor judgment.

He's one of the funniest posters on 2p2. That thread kinda sucks but you really think that's perma-banworthy? Before you assume your answer will be respected, bear in mind you're the mod that banned somebody for saying QFT, fwiw.

does being funny make a great poster? I don't know enough about him to say ban/no ban, all i know is that he tends to be retarded in my eyes and that isnt a good trait IMHO.

I couldn't figure out if he did or not. In that thread - which was started for the express purpose of tricking people into opening it - EDD was constantly referring to the views so it all seemed pretty fishy. Then he made a lame defense in ATF like "oh, I didn't care about the views at all" even though he repeatedly referenced them (basically it seemed obvious to me that he thought the thread was deleted and the evidence gone), and it seemed that he was smart enough to realize that someone was repeatedly hitting that thread as a joke. He should have left well enough alone once the NU Star stuff hit the fan.

That said, it's good to have someone from that forum here to confirm that he is generally a funny and/or respected contributor.

I gave him a 5 day ban just now not having seen this thread.

He's a great BBV4L poster who plays within the rules for hte most part. The NVG post was stupid as hell though.
