He was trolling pretty hard before this but I wasn't going to ban him until he threatened nath. If an out-of-forum ban for something like physically threatening someone is out of line, I apologize, but fwiw this type of thing should be ban-on-sight imo.

In my limited experience with that poster, I think he's a freak and a very weird dude. He is probably also quite young. I think he should stay away.

In a clearly hypothetical argument, he wrote:

"ok how about me and my dad keyed some guy's car?"

to which Nath responded:

"I'm gonna drive by your house today and smash your mailbox."

to which he responds:

"bring it nath and you can kiss those three teeth goodbye"

This ban for "physical threat" is so stupid it blows my mind.

All,

If this thread were about an OOT banning the dude for a day for trolling, fine, whatever, judgement call.

But banning out of forum for "physical threat" based on that is just plain silly.

Also, after all the Yeti drama, I thought it was made clear that not banning out of forum was one of only two or three mod rules that admins considered key and outside of spammers would result in demodding.

As I said, if the ban was out of line, I'm sorry, go ahead and overturn it, de-mod me, whatever. It just tilts the [censored] out of me when retards ruin threads in OOT and the mods aren't around to do anything about it. I unbanned him btw.

There's something to be said for the slightly harmless "time out" 15 minute ban just to save a thread from being ruined if the normal mods aren't around. I think that just kind requires everybody being more on the same page than we are right now.

#1: My main issue was that your "physical threat" reason was just such complete BS. Either you were full of **** and were just looking for an excuse to ban him, or your judgment and ability to read things in context is way worse than I previously gave you credit for. Had you said "Gave him a timeout for trolling" my reaction would have been quite different.

#2: You surely understand how that statement goes against everything Mat/Ryan have repeatedly stated regarding what they want mods to do regarding other forums, right?
