Capturing Desktop Video Software?

Ok I wanna video my sessions.

1. Whats the best software to do this with?
2. Whats the best format to record in (smallest file size)?
3. Best hosting site (for free preferably)?

Free is good.

Camstudio is the best free software but I found Camstasia so much easier. Unfortunately it is not free. Not even close.

There is a 30 day trial period though.

there's actually a pretty simple way to get around the camtasia 30-day trial thing, surprised they havent fixed it yet.

ok I got the camtasia (free edition...) Now I want to upload my session onto the web. Problem is a 30-45 minute clip is about 500MB.

I can only find sites that allow you to upload files up to a max of 100MB. Any suggestions?

You need to capture it for smaller file sizes. I know nothing about the software, but have watched many 60 minute videos, that are well under 200MB. Good luck. I just downloaded a 180MB+ video by GoofyBaller from MegaUpload (I think).
