New Albany IN and Clarksville IN are basically farm towns with populations of about 20,000. Southern Indiana small town midwest surburban ville.

Louisville KY is a City with 500,000+ population. It isn't exactly a cultural mecca. It was the home town of Muhammad Ali. The first thing Ali did when he hit it big, was to leave Louisville.

What more do you need to know?

Very nice.

FWIW, the Holiday Inn in New Albany isn't too bad for the price. I stayed there in December and it beats paying double or more for Caesars. If you want anything other than what Caesars has to offer (gambling, more gambling, occasional concert), head to Louisville - it's about a 20 min drive. They have bar scenes like any other decent sized city. It gets especially wild Kentucky Derby weekend (May 5 this year).

Other than that, I hear there's plenty of good golfing in southern Indiana as well. But it's still winter, and you wouldn't want to try that until at least April.

There are excellent restaurants in Louisville, and the Kentucky Derby Museum is worth a trip if that's you're thing.

Phoenix Hill Tavern is worth looking into to see if any good bands are going to be playing there. Down the street is a good bar scene led by Molly Malone's.

Feel free to PM me when you are close to your arrival date. I work at Caesars and would be glad to help as a "tour guide"

So, how safe is Clarksville and New Albany?

Also, any strip clubs there or would I have to go to Louisville? (I probably wont go to Louisville)

[/ QUOTE ]

PT's is downtown and used to be the stone cold nuts. I haven't been to a strip club in a very long time.

New Albany and Clarksville are as safe as the couch in your mother's living room, probably safer if she lives in the west end of Louisville.

Questions for anyone:

Will they open an Omaha table if requested, or play H.O. (Preferbly a drunken 3am $2/$4 Limit game)?

How deep does the $2/$5 NL game generally play? The website shows that being the highest game, but I will take a shot at $5/$10 NL if they spread it.

I'll be back with more questions when I remember them

Edit: I'll be arriving on March 6th and be staying for the weekend, anyone else gonna be around that time and wanna play a drunken $2/$4 Omaha game with us?

Last time I played the 2-5 NL was uncapped and played extremely deep with several players buying in for 2-3k. I havent been back in a while and heard they put a cap on the buy in.
If you want to take a shot I would suggest the 10-25 PLO if you have any experiance in that game, it also plays deep but their is usually at least 2-3 huge fish in the game. Some of the sickest spewage I have ever seen was in that game.

you can get a 1/2/5 plo game going, just start the list - if they can fill a table they will deal the game

$2-5 is usually capped at $1000 but not always. It was uncapped for a long time but pretty much died. It is coming back pretty strong since the cap.

Don't be afraid of downtown Louisville in the immediate area of PT's but don't wander around alone either.

The $1-2 blind PLO game doesn't go very often on the nights I play but does go from time to time. They almost never play O/8.

We got a 1/2 HOE game going once, it was fun. They will spread anything you can get a game for. Hard to get 10 ppl though on stuff besides holdem.
