Re: 16$ : AK early
I will often give up on the turn without a good read on villian.

Re: 16$ : AK early
I might not bet the flop vs 2 players.
I c/f the turn. |
Re: 16$ : AK early
i prob wouldnt c-bet OOP vs 2 players either, i might lead the turn if its a safe card and the flop was checked.
as played c/f turn |
Re: 16$ : AK early
I dont think I would cbet this flop either, especially w/o A or K of clubs.

Re: 16$ : AK early
Well - I have now lost my last 7 AK's and three of them to AA so take this as a guy about to tilt.
I give up AK if I don't hit. I would not bet then SO much pre flop - maybe 90? save a little if you don't hit and if you do hit you will have more players with you to push. I'm ABOUT to fold them pre flop actually LOL Honestly - AK has me spooked at the moment. |

I would not bet then SO much pre flop - maybe 90? [/ QUOTE ] Raising to 90 after 3 limpers would be disgusting. You have to raise the same amount you would with any hand in your raising range or you will be predictable. Most of what you're raising there in level 1 are big pairs and you wouldnt raise to 90 after 3 limpers with a big pair because you're just giving implied odds for people to set mine you. Standard raise lvl 1 is 4xBB/5xBB (80/100) plus 1 BB for every limper. |
Re: 16$ : AK early
Daleroxxu - you are right - missed the three limper's - too early - no coffee!! nice catch! :-)
|
Re: 16$ : AK early
check flop, maybe bet a dry turn if flop is checked around.

Re: 16$ : AK early
Preflop - Fine
Flop - Fine to c-bet on ragged board. Check-folding is OK too. Turn - Spew. Just check/fold. |
Re: 16$ : AK early
grunch*
Your preflop raise is too small. I raise either alot preflop (~200) or more likely I just call with these guys and try to flop big. The size of your bet is not getting anyone to fold preflop and all you are doing is building a pot OOP. Once you miss the flop, you have no hand, let it go you're OOP. |
Re: 16$ : AK early
I just complete from the SB here. All your postflop is spew.
|
Re: 16$ : AK early
I would just call pre-flop about half or more of the time, and rarely c-bet OOP into two people. Then give up. This early in the tournament it is bad to go all the way with AK.

[/ QUOTE ] This is only ever a problem against people who are both: a/ regulars you have often played with b/ paying attention The bigger problem is that donks realise you're tight, and put you on AK every [censored] time anyway. |

You'll get called *a lot* on that flop, because *everyone* stabs at a paired flop, and this one has a twoflush too. And you're just giving it away every time you don't hit your six outs? No way is that good. |
