MY DOG IS DEAD
 

I was running around the street with my yellow lab Jim this morning and he was being a little slow. I was like ok cool lets take a rest in between sprints.

We chill for like 5 minutes while i smoke a cig then we take off again. This time he just stops. I'm like WTF LETS GO! We do some more sprints but he falls this time and is breathing really really hard. He doesn't get up. I wait and wait and then i realize HE ISN'T BREATHING. I CALL 911.

THY DON'T SEND AN AMBULANCE!!! THEY DON'T DO DOGS. WTF. I SNAP A PICTURE SO I CAN SUE THEM LATER. http://img296.imageshack.us/img296/3163/dsc01395qi1.jpg

This is [censored]... My mom comes with her car and by the time he gets to the vet they say hes dead of exhaustion???

I'm upset as hell right now

With that hair, he did look more like a retriever.

Sorry about your dog. It sounds a little callous to say it was from exhaustion. A possibility; could have been dehydrated, etc., gotten heat stroke, who knows. But some larger dog breeds have heart problems. It could be any number of things that just played out on this particular day instead of another. Who knows.

Me, I'm paranoid about the pet food thing.

Sorry again about your loss. Dogs are awesome.

Think about it logically for a second.

And FTR, i love animals, donate to ASPCA monthly, donate to no kill shelters, and have a dog and a cat.

They can't send ambulances for dogs- b/c that means some person might have to wait b/c the ambulance went to get a dog.

I'm sorry for your loss. Really, I am. I'm sure it's very emotional for you. I know it would devastate me.
