1-tabling 1/2 nl video from full tilt with commentary. I didn't play my best (was a bit distracted with talking), but hope you guys enjoy!

right around the 5:30ish in to the video part, you hold A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

the board reads:

heres how the action went:

preflop: he raises to 6, u call (pot 12)
flop: u check call his c-bet of the pot, 12. (pot 36)
turn: check check
river: u bet 2/3 the pot, for 24

what i would like an explanation for is the the river bet. i think on this board i'd be more inclined to check call his stab at the pot, whether it is a bluff or happens to be the best hand.

results: (if i should delete these before responses, let me know, but i figured in this situation it doesnt really matter).

villain raises it to 108 and forced hero to fold.

I think check/calling is pretty bad, if I were to check im folding (ppl just don't bluff enough in these sorta spots).

I'd be more inclined to bet like half the pot on the river, but it's up to whether or not villian is capable of raising with air or not, since that sorta bet pretty much turn your hand face up.

I really can't see too many hands we beat calling 24 on the river, but I don't know.. guess betting is fine.

A6 hand is a clear value bet. Checking is bad as villain gets to check down a random pair way too often that he might call a bet with. True he might bluff but he bluffs a lot less than he calls a bet with weaker.

I didn't watch the whole video because I want to sleep a little bit but so far I learned something about my game. I discovered a leak in my game. When you played that shortstacked guy, you didn't defend your blind so much against his minraises which might be a good thing. I defend a lot because of the odds, but that way I let him build a stack and earn some money off me. Also, when he had 25 bucks left and you found ATo in the BB after he limped, I would automatically push this and gamble with him (which might, again, be a bad thing). I just like to gamble with those shortstacks and this might be a bad idea. I am just too reckless against them, I guess. Will watch tomorrow the rest. Great job. I learned something, so I guess this video rocks.

I dont normally short stack lol, but I was on such mad tilt and I didnt wanna drop everything on my roomie's account.
