favorite place for a last stand ?!

apologies if this thread has been done a zillion times before...

but for those times when your stack has dwindled to a mere
less than 4-5x BB and you know your next hand may well be
your last, what are looking for to push all-in PF with?
What situtation is your favorite?

any pocket pair?
any ace?
any suited cards?
ATC near the CO hoping for a steal?

following into the pot with whatever when 2 all-ins are
in front of you hoping for the miracle triple up?

all in when the blinds hit a specific player?
all in when the blinds hit a mid-stack? ( maybe 8xBB )

need more info...stacks in front...tabe dynamic..buy in...each spot is so unique that requirements are varied...4 to 5BB in unopened pot I think we push all pp, A7 and up, two broadway (though I hate QJ)...if table is tight we can loosen even more...if loose go the other way...

AA in late position with a limper or two in front.

AA in position with 4 all ins?

When that time comes I would rather have any pocket pair over anything else. When it comes time to push in the proverbial red zone I want a made hand but at times ATC will do and just hope for 2 live cards.

pair > ace > Suited connectors > ATC

AA in the BB when every single person has bet more than I have left.
A more serious answer: I'm not looking for set things. There are many things to consider in WORKING OUT IF SOMETHING IS +EV. If it is +EV I'll do it. If it is -EV I won't. These things include hand strength, position, reads, action, etc, to hard to quantify into 1 "formula". A good idea is to post hands which you thought were close as too All-in or fold.

Your question is too situation dependent for a general answer, so the appropriate answer is: it depends.

One thing I note from your post is that if you let your stack get down to 4-5 BB you have been waiting too long! You need to make a stand before that. It is another story if you just made a stand and were left with 4-5 BB after a beat.

If I had 4BB i wouldn't care if the entire table called and I had AA.

Re: favorite place for a last stand ?!

remember, i'm thinking you only have 2 orbits left before
you are blinded out....

Say you have 2000 left and the blinds are at 200/400.

You don't have time to wait for AA.
You have to pick a spot and go for it.

Personally, my top choice is to push all-in on
an unraised pot with any pocket pair, hopefully,
in LP. I'd prefer the BB NOT to be on the monster stack,
but on some middle or above stack who would be crippled
if he called and lost.

The mentality changes against small and huge stacks.
A huge stack may say "what the heck... i got chips to
gamble with..." and call with ATC. And a small stack
may say "any isolation play is a good one" and call.

I'm not sure I want calls... I'll be happy with the
blinds and antes.
