600. HERO goes all-in for 4575.

[b]no reads on villain, but his stats are 18-6.8-4.5 over 132 hands, so he is relativly tight. does my short stack make this move okay, or not?

Standard push IMO. Villian will call here a lot with any two broadway cards here a lot and you will be getting in ahead.

why push with 88 here? if villian is tight as stats reflect then he/she are only calling off half their stack with a PP thats better than 88. A shove like that to me screams mid PP or AK, and if Im holding TT or better, its an easy call for half my stack. If the action was folded around to you then by all means push with 88 but a min raise in front should derail the all-in with 88, imo. I would fold or maybe even call the min raise knowing the BB will call due to odds and hope to spike a set on the flop or push on the flop with a low board. even if you have to fold post flop you still have around 10x BB so you wont be done yet.

I like it. You pick up 1250 when villain folds, and you're in decent shape when villain calls a good percentage of the time.

Calling would be awful. You can't win enough chips when you do hit your set, and even if everyone else folds you're left with an 1850 pot and 3300 chips. Can you really afford to fold to a c-bet on a scary board? Avoid the hassle and use what little FE you have by pushing preflop.

Solid advice, calling here is begging to be shorter stacked with NO fold equity.

interesting. always good to get other peoples opinion on certain strategic play. but im not sure you can say, "you're in decent shape when villains calls a good percentage of the time."

Re: 25$ - Is this Push ok?

i guess there is an overwhelming majority of online players that shove preflop with mid PP or AK when they are 10-15x the BB where I usually would still see a flop. I will take everyones advice here and apply this tactic to my game. Even though I didnt start the thread, thanks for the help.

I think at 15bb, even 20 bb, most decisions are push/fold.
