Did anyone hear the interview with this priest? Straight out of Saturday Night Live. The priest said he had been drinking and was on drugs and if he knew Foley didn't like it he wouldn't have done it.

Well, the planet is really not that strange – it is the human inhabitants that perhaps have a monopoly on strangeness.

Father Guido Sarducci is my favorite Priest; It would be very sad to hear that he was a child molester.

On the somewhat serious side, nothing is really surprising when you start to delve into the dark underbelly of human nature and the perverse predilections of priests.

Also, I think the majority of the audience is too young, and we are showing our age by talking about Father Guido. [img]/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img]

We should not be surprised when we learn that a sex offender has a personal history of sex offenses committed against him.

But we should begin to feel a bit queasy when the sordid details come out, e.g. IM texts, and nobody speaks up against gutter press practices -- for obvious political considerations. The whole thing also took on a decidedly homophobic allure in the media, which becomes more apparent if one compares the fall out from Foley scandal with that of the scandal of the woman teacher seducing an underage male student.

If the sordid details did not come out, this would have been _re_swept under the rug by the majority.

Part of the reason of the homophobic slant is because the perpetrators party is homophobe central. The irony is hard to resist.

Wow! A priest molested a young boy. In other news, the sun came up today.

I heard the interview this morning. If I had to imagine what a child molestor would sound like, father Guido would definitely be at the top of the list.
