First hand at the table, which is why I posted out of position.

Do I discard my 8 here on the third draw? With Villain ready to call my pat hand down, I'm thinking that an 8-7-6 is no good. It seems quite obvious that Villain has a made 8 -- a made 7 would have probably bet or C/R'd after the second draw. A made 9 might be willing to call me down heads up, but with PlayerB still drawing, I don't see Villain standing pat on a 9.

Is breaking up the 8-7-6 standard here, a judgment call, or is it terrible?

Discard the 8 and 6, you need to make a wheel to win obv.

Seriously the question is do you value bet a 87632 here and I am thinking yes, sure you are gonna run into a fair share of 875xx and 874xx maybe even some 86xxx but more than 55% of the time its gonna be an worse 87xxx or a 9, maybe even a T or a J sometimes (cause in SSII its written to pat a JACK !!!).

SO pat and value bet.

assuming both of them are drawing 1 again on 3rd draw[this will happen about 65-70% of the time]... if one of them pats [ESPECIALLY the middle position] i'd hold off on the value bet.

Triple Draw 2-7 Lowball Limit ($0.50/$1.00)

is short for "you will see all kinds of weird/low percentage plays". with no reads i would pat and check behind with 876 but don't be surprised to see a pat Q as often as you see a 7 here

No, you don't break an 8 here. Without a read on the villain I would check behind or call a single bet.

Agreed with another poster, that it's hard to know what to expect at this level, but I don't see MP check/calling with any pat 8 after the 2nd draw. He's got a very rough pat hand, and is hoping you're still drawing. Pat behind, value bet, and strongly consider folding to a check/raise.

strongly consider folding to a check/raise.

your hand is almost never good here if you get check raised

Ignore whatever bad result occured from this hand, stand pat, bet and hope you see them muck.

I play this level often, and as an earlier posted stated earlier, you will see a Q low or worse low than yours as much as youll see a 7. IMO this is the game most people go because they either A. won a bunch playing another game and want to try something else or B. Are losing players and want to try a new game to test their "luck".

Line is fine, C/C river. I say you win here 60-60% of the time.

Re: 2-7 TD 0.50/1.00 - line check

Well, my read was right here, my action was wrong, but I got lucky.

Villain had the same hand I did -- 87632. I broke the 8, caught one of my eight outs to a 7, and upgraded a chopped pot into a win.

When I worked it out afterward, I figured that even if I 100% reliably put Villain on a pat 8, my pot equity is still higher by staying pat and check/calling -- I beat or tie enough 8s to make it preferable to drawing.

New question -- if Villain had C/R'd after the second draw, what line should I have taken? Fold, call down pat, or call and draw one? (I can't see re-raising with a rough 8.)
